With all of the high water, I decided to give Burke Lake another shot. I fished from about 6am until 1pm. I caught 3 pickerel, 3 small bass and one crappie. Caught all the fish on a wood wakebait (3) and a tube (3). Had one fish break me off skipping a tube to shoreline structure. No idea what kind or size fish that was.
No bites when the sun was on the shore. All bites in lower light or shade.

Kudos to you for even trying that place although, when they shocked it a couple of weeks back, they stunned some big fishes!

I saw some bass protecting fry in the weeds when I ate lunch. I should have started with that wake bait. It usually produces there.

Neither did I. That lake has quite a diverse fish population.

They do not list it on species available, but I have caught them both times I tried the lake this year.
