Got out there this morning to 26 degree temps. Found them where I left them yesterday. Already 3 pontoon live bait fisherman in the area, but they were not catching. In the beginning.......scattered stripers but not eating.
Then schooling stripers and not eating anything I thew at them and the live bait fellas were having no luck either.
So I decided to wait them out and troll over them (would not touch a jig in their face) and the sleet started coming down hard.....not fun. Finally I hook one and get it to the boat to measure a 20.5" keeper.
That was enough getting pelted by the sleet. Headed back to the dock and put the boat back up on the lift until the next time I come down.
Not bad for my first 3 days in the new boat and LKA......at least on keeper striper each day .

What did you use for a cooler?
Nice way to get the boat broken in....
All on Rebel broken backs?

Boat came with a nice cooler. Yes, on Rebels.......they just would not hit a jig.

I just thought that it was cold enough not to use a cooler.
Many a striper have been caught on that Rebel broken back.....
