A long time ago, I threw crankbaits to catch smallies out of my 12' Sears boat (4hp air cooled engine).
I have a couple of handmade flat sided crankbaits that I want to use this year.
Who knows anything about these flat siders?

They are usually a tighter wiggle and and supposed to be good in colder water, but I think it depends on the bill.

It's a fairly short bill, rounded. Less than 3" in total length, including bill.

Not sure how that will swim. Looks nice though.

Poe's made several flat sided balsa baits. And Bagley did too. Bagley had the name on the bottom and Poes had the name on the bill. That looks to me like a Ten Killer original from Stanford Cedars or maybe the Norman knock off of them. They are good baits and will catch decent fish with that short tight wobble.

It's a copy of something.
John Mills from Indiana made it (handcrafted).
Color is Goldfish. Model is MDL 12 MR....whatever that means.
Of course, I added the single hooks.
