George and I were on the water by 6:10a....it was a chilly 63 degrees and I had a jacket on!
That's a cell phone pic! Incredible!!
We only had until noon but we decided to run way up river to Harrison Island where we began our drift.
It was slow going....we tried some shoreline as well.
1st fish was a BG!
The water was brown green, good level but did we just have a full moon? I looked it up and it was a 91% moon.
The fish were lazy. I lost a couple of decent fighters and had a few nips here and there. My little one was not deserving of a picture.
George scored a few nice ones....
We ran into a buddy of George's and he is a river rat. He caught a few small ones but was also lamenting that the bite was really not there.
We threw everything in the book at them.
Soon, time ran out as George had to be back in his car at noon so he could make his doctor's appointment. We succeeded with that.
The scenery at the ramp almost caused me to jackknife the trailer when retrieving the boat.....great day to be out despite the non bite.
