Today was specifically to try new water on the sled. Chris and I were at the ramp by 6:30a to give it a go. The morning was very nice but the fishing was slow.

We motored up river and I navigated through my 1st chutes and ledges, only scraping bottom once. I was definitely more aware of my surroundings than on any other trip other than yakin'. Still have lots to learn.

We tried behind rocks and we did get a few but all small.

I decided to float down river...should have gone up but I was nervous as I had to cross 2 more riffles. Anyway, I now know the river better and will be more comfortable the next time out.

It got hot early...and stayed hot!

Still, a good time and lots learned.

Time to go fishin' again!
