Well....the threat of T-storms caused me to cancel my perch trip today. Bob is comfortably in 1st place for the SRRKC 2 month long WP tourney. I am in 4th. Not sure how many more tries I will get at 'em!
I got some pullage in Cedar after lunch today. The small to medium gills could not stay off my little black ant so I went to a larger spider fly and got some 8" wannabes. Bo bigs today....but plenty of pullage on the 4wt. Maybe 25 BG's and 1 bass (@ 1lb) in an hour.
I feel better now.....

Sounds like a decent enough alternative to perch fishing. Is that spider fly a dry fly?

Very slow sinking as it absorbs water.....same with the ant. I did not try top water beacues they were not snapping when the fly would hit the water.

Glad you got out, Ernie. I tried Lake Ann in Reston and only caught one little bass.
