Fished the super high tide and got back in places that I have not fished since June. But someone forgot to email or text the fish to be there. Had a few follows and a few hits but for the most part it was like fishing the dead sea. I did however have on board, two of the finest casters with a spinning rod and reel. These guys really worked hard to place the baits in all the great spots. Non-stop casting and they also delivered some amazing casts.
Water temps are down to 75 and that maybe why the pesky LGMouth have left the shallows. Even the Potomac Pike seemed slow to react. So this concludes my backwater trips in Indian Head and I move down south for the entire month of Sept.

Oh, it was a beautiful day alright, just not a good day for fishing at all tonight. High pressure after yesterday's soaking and man o man was it tough. We did have two confirmed snakehead blow ups. Too fast on the trigger. This season, you didn't get a lot of chances and you had to capitalize. We did pick up one chunky largemouth just before heading back to the ramp.

Nice fish!
This has been a cool summer. Have we even had a 90 degree day this month?

Few and far between. Even less in a row. Cool nights... NO 100 degree days.
