ocean kayak screws

I was pre-flighting my kayak last weekend and noticed I am missing a couple of screws in the stern. I'm not real sure what they do or why they are there. Anyone else have any issues?

Re: ocean kayak screws

If it's the stern they're probably for the rudder kit. My OK Prowler has 4 black screws right on the back end.

Re: ocean kayak screws

Plastic screws are there as placeholders for a rudder, don't worry about it!

I didn't think they went to anything important but just wanted to check. Anyone have the rudder?

I'm missing a bunch too on mine too, as did my bud a while back.  It just happens over time..
