Went out to Fletchers cove today for the Family casting call with Fish and Explore (http://www.fishandexplore.com/). Got there a little early to do a little shad fishing.

We went upstream for a while until we found a decent accessible rock point. We had a pretty good day but it was a beautiful day to be outside. I caught 4 hickory shad and a 2 pound 15 inch largemouth also.

The Casting Call was free for any child that wanted to go fishing in the canal which was stocked with 5,000 catchable fish the day before the event. The Fish and Explore staff was there to volunteer and help out wherever they needed us (which was mostly helping the kids out). I had a great time helping the kids and cant wait for the summer camps to start.
