It's always something.....I think the crappie are active, the weather may not slow them down.
In the river, things have started and they will get there....we just won't be there to greet them.
I guess I can keep cleaning out the basement....

Gonna fish both days this weekend. Might see a dip in temps but there are ways to work around that issue.
Choose a deeper pool of water that has warmed up. Fish the lower half of the deeper pools.
Also since all fish before the spawn move back and forth along "highways" try to entice a bite there..

Yep....I think the fishing will be decent but....I am now a cold weather wimp! I really dislike it.

I did see Curly fishing out back...never stood in one place for more that 15 -20 seconds. He looked cold!

fishing occoquan the last three years has done wonders for my cold water confidence
the last two weeks i have caught bass in just about pure mudd. water temp 50degrees at best, prob down in the lower 40's now

I can't stand cold weather.....not worth the aggravation for me.....too much work and pain fishing in the cold! But that is just me, I was born in Cuba and love the hot weather!

I do fish in the cold and will probably do so but spring is here and I need warmer temperatures now....
Saying that about cold, I am on my way to Arlington to help my oldest son out at baseball practice. He coaches a Little League team.
