That is a nice chunk of river with some exceptional fishing holes...too unfortunate IMO.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Bummer.  The biggest fish I ever hooked on the Potomac was not far from the "E" marker.  We esitmated it around 8lbs.  I caught several good fish around Chopowomsic Island last year.

So....will Chopawamsic Bay still be fishable if you launch from the base?

No more big Chopawasomac LGMouth.. That back creek has produced many great guided trips.

With the closing of the areas to fishing I would venture only military vessals will be allowed launch at the ramp.

It is definitely a "fishy" location on the Potomac and will likely make the Potomac fish smaller as people concentrate on other honey holes.

I just read this on Charlie Taylor's lasted post

NOTE - Fishing for bass is "Catch and Release Only". Bass may not be creeled in the river, between Seneca Breaks and the mouth of the Monocacy River.
