Lake stratification? School of shad?
Online
HOLY $&!* !!! That's he Mother Load ! Turn the sensitivity down a tad next time to tell if they are fishes......If you were on BDR, they could be white perch......some massive schools in there that suspend.

Sensitivity was turned down, about 75% I think. The was by the drain at Burke Lake. If it was fish they certainly weren't biting what I was dropping.

T., was this on the left or right of the drain if you are facing the dam?
Thai, does that look familiar?

Can't be the brush pile, and I dont think it's shad or anything organic

It was in the area of the circle.

WSW of your circle is a good spot to explore w/ your sonar, and it's worth fishing as the temps drop. Last December it was the only spot we caught any bass on the entire lake. It may or may not be a community hole: that lake get so much pressure I'm not sure there are any secret spots on it.
Be careful if you leave a buoy around there!

may I ask what lures you were using?

Me or T.?

T because I know he has a habit of throwing those little cranks and if what he graphed out on Burke were baitfish/feeding bass I highly doubt they would eat it.

Another thing. T., if you were drifting slow or anchored i would not expect to see nice fish arches, but something like the horizontal lines you have in your pic.

I was stationary or moving very slowly when seeing this. I tried a black/blue jig, small spoon and plastic worm here.
There was one other area to the NW of the island where I saw something similar. Next to the park dock there were definitely fish below and they looked like it on the screen. Tried a crappie jig, worm and some other things I can't remember. They wouldn't bite either.
Other than that I wasn't marking anything else.

try a drop shot or shakey head out there, I know those fish can be very tight lipped but there are good ones in there. What size jig and were you feeling anything on the bottom? If you arent feeling brush or getting snagged it usually means you're not in a good spot

I was using a 3/8oz jig. The bottom was pretty plain everywhere I went.

grab a map of that place you can find most of the piles on the 10-15' contour lines i believe
