It was calm and warm day in the Mid-Chesapeake Bay - Shorts and T-shirt day. I brought one lure and live-lining tackles only. The top water temp went up by 3 degrees from 2 days ago. Slowly trolled live bait (spot) in the Mid-Chesapeake Bay off the Breezy Point marina. There were too many bluefish and plenty of spot in 23-30' of water. Came back to the marina entrance and caught a puppy drum (red fish) and a striper. The puppy drum was a pleasant surprise.

Nice post Joe. You could have saved all the leftover spot heads for a nice pot of fish head soup!

We may need to try to catch perch off that wall! Is there a public ramp there?
Nice report!

LOL Feeding the fish.
I've got some "keychain" cameras that I've been using to try to get some video of my releases. Quite often my fish will jump or do something entertaining when I let them go. The last bass I caught at Beaverdam did a tail walk after I set it in the water with its head up and tail down.

Nice report. I'm starting to get the itch to start fishing saltwater! We used to charter boats for striper fishing out of Breezy Point. I should have brought my rods and fished from shore.

Ernie,
I launch from the Breezy Point Marina. The ramp fee is $10.00. I voluntarily pay $5.00 for kayak.
I don't think the rip rap is always productive. I probably got lucky once.
