Native watercraft propel kayaks

I'm looking into getting a pedal system kayak and the only two that I know of is the Hobie Pro Angler and the Native Watercraft propel models. I really like the Hobie but the wife will not let me plunk down $2500 for one. I've been dreaming of having one ever since Andrew showcased his.

The Native is a bit cheaper $1800 and she will let me get that. But I am not too familiar with their workmanship. I wanted to see if anyone on this board owns one, knows someone who has one, or has seen it in use. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

This is kayak I am looking at..

Re: Native watercraft propel kayaks

I know of a guy in Jersey who has new 09 Hobies for under $1500, let me know if you want his info.

The natives aren't as popular and do not receive the same reviews as the hobies... just my two cents, but I'd go hobie if I could.

What model are you looking at? Outback/Revolution? I'm also considering adding a hobie to my plastic navy...
