Potomac River Smallmouth Club Meeting- July 28

Our speaker at the July 28 (Wednesday) meeting will be full time guide Captain Tom Hughes. Tom was an avid bass fisherman for 20 years, missing the IGFA World Record for a smallmouth bass caught on 4# test...by a mere 2 ounces.

Meeting starts at 7:15 PM at the Vienna Fire Station on Center Street in Vienna VA.

In 1996 Tom became addicted to fishing "the salt" when he caught a 24" striper on a 1.5" tube. Since 2000, Tom has been guiding fishermen on the Chesapeake Bay, teaching his guests how to catch stripers on light spinning gear or fly rods.

In April, Tom offers trips in the Susquehanna Flats. In May through November he guides in the upper and middle Bay. In December and January he chases the monster stripers around the CBB&T.

Come meet Tom and learn how to catch stripers on your smallmouth rods, in a talk illustrated with Tom's photography.

Time to go fishin' again!
