I met up with Thai at 730...well after a text message and two phone calls which served as his alarm!
We hit various spots on the Potomac right off of the GW Parkway and Little Hunting Creek. We lost one on and had few other bites so we decided to change our plans. We headed west!
We had a variety of local ponds in Centreville, Chantilly, and Fairfax with far greater success. We ended up with eight bass, all over 15 inches. They were caught on jigs, frogs, senkos, a minus-1. They ranged in weight from 1lb 8oz to 2lb 13 oz. In fact, the biggest five weighed in nearly 11.5 lbs.
Thai also masterfully caught a couple of bullfrogs....on....frogs!
It was a hot and steamy day with lots of gatorade and lots of water....and apparently, lots of visits to 7-11. I think Thai owns stock in that place!
Thanks to the guide for taking me to some fine local waters!

I fished Cedar in the early early A.M. throwing a Horny Toad and then around 7:30 I hit up the "swimming pools". I had great production out of spinnerbait in "Bull Gill" and the Senko in Watermelon / Pepper. Home by 10.

Nope - just frogs from the frog pond.
DANG! That place ALWAYS gives up at LEAST one frog fish if the slop is there...
