Had the privilege of getting out with Charlie Taylor and a few of his buddies on Tuesday for some trophy rockfish. Met up Charlie at 4:30AM and headed up to point look out. I believe we got there at around 6:20ish. The car ride didn't seem long at all with all the hilarious stories Charlie, John, and Jimmy had (I'm bad with names but I think Jimmy's nickname was Zig/zeek?). Anyways, we met up with the rest of the guys and loaded up onto Captain Eddie Davis' boat. It was cold and windy....
We started trolling for a bit and it wasn't long before we got our first bite
Here's Hoop with the second fish of the day
Then we went into a dry spell and went awhile with a fish so some of us took a nap
My turn! This looks so much easier on TV!
not sure if we had enough rods out trolling but it seemed sufficient...
less talk more pictures!
and some scenery pix
this is when the sun started to come out!
We had our limit by 11AM so we headed back in where another Charlie filleted our fish for us and we headed home! Had a great time and can't wait to get out again!
If there are any errors hopefully Charlie will chime in to correct them.

NO one.....but NO one....can tell a story liek Charlie Taylor!!
Nice work fellas! The Davis family is legendary on that creek.....
That young mate, Eddie's grandson, is something else!

Haha! so true!
The grandson, Charlie?, really knew what he was doing and if I didn't know better he was running the show! Capt. Eddie seem to have full faith in him and just hung out like one of us and let the young man do his thing. I don't think we had a single tangled line or lost rig and we even had some close encounters with crab pots!
Nobody bothered to measure the fish but here's a picture to give you an idea of the size
That's my foot, I wear a size 26 Mens shoe
