Ideas for this weekend?

Looking to head out in the Kayak Saturday morning and not sure where to go this time of year... any suggestions?  I wanted to head to the Shenandoah with T but Luray is too far from Ashburn for me!

Don't go to the Wilson for catfish! We went this afternoon and it was dead. I caught 2 cats (6" & 10") and a 16" striper on a rattle trap. You might be able to squeeze a last snakehead trip in?

Lots of ramps closed so make sure you pick a non-Federal location to put in.

I think T. is going to the 'doah.

Time to go fishin' again!

Yeah I am thinking about Pohick for one last shot at a snakehead.  Are NoVa regional parks closed?  Is that considered federal?

Jones is definitely closed but there were tons of folks still there so we walked down anyway. The gate says the park is closed, but it did not say no trespassing...

Michael, have they ever done anything to make their kayak launch more kayak friendly?

Re: Ideas for this weekend?

Nope, it is still pretty tough to get in the water or out. I have a lot of practice doing it at G-dock but it's a little harder at Jones since that small dock is rocking and rolling the whole time!
