Hi everyone! I was out this past weekend just lounging in the floating chair and fishing (I know...kinda redneck like). lol, and realized I was getting a little too much sun. Then I recall seeing photos of folks out on the boat with what looked like a summer version of a balacava mask. So what does everyone use for the warm weather, does it work well, and where'd you get yours from?

I have some from Pelagic Gear, Columbia and Buff...you can get them lots of places that sell fishing stuff.

Sunscreen works for me
Ernie, make sure before you enter a store after fishing you remember to remove the balaclava

I use them as well.. they cool you down when you sweat and can be dipped in the cooler for that frosty feel.
They are very important and can reduce cancers from sun exposure.

Also several studies show the sun lotion products are absorbed into the skin are retained in the liver / kidneys. Now the studies blur as to how bad they are for you in the long run. But from my experience they also make you warmer as they clog the pores and prevent perspiration.
Since I just hit puberty and my acne is acting up, I avoid lotions.
