The VA one looks much larger in the pic (could just be that he is holding it out) but saw a kid posted this on the MD DNR site with an unofficial weight listed as 19lbs:

Apparently, the big one caught last year was not properly certified. Not sure where this one is going to go but the current hook-and-line world record NSH 17lbs, 4oz (was caught in Japan). No question this can be beat in our area. Some bigger ones have been killed with a bow....

There was another one over 18 captured the same day as this one down in Aquia. That one was shot by bow hunters though. I have a feeling this record may be broken and re-broken several times over on the Potomac over the next couple years. They are everywhere.
