Pacemaker Fishing Forum

Went out a little later in the morning because my brother n law wanted to try the kayak again.  So, I loaded his kayak on top of my truck and off we went to Quantico since it was going to be a busy day on the water.  And busy as in all the boats and fisherman heading out as we were driving up Route 1 at 7 am.  We get out there and the water levels are the highest I've ever seen them. 
The hydrilla that carpeted the whole area was still there as was the muck that floats on top of them, but the grass that is usually the hard barrier that surrounds the waterway was all under water!
So, I was able to get over into an area that I had never fished in 15 plus years. 
My goal was to get my brother n law on fish, so I had him go ahead of me telling him where to throw. 
Overall, there were a lot of fish there taking bait, but it seemed that timing and patterns just didn't work in our favor.  Also, his 2nd rod he brought didn't perform as expected and the seat on his kayak was pretty painful.
I just took my time and wasn't expecting anything, so I just followed along and had a few good hits and a snakehead that I may have spooked.
