Last few floats

Contrary to my lack of reports, I did hit the river for a few floats in July and early August. No giants but good company and fish landed, so successful.

First float was with George and Jacob on a stretch I hadn't done yet this year.  It started slow for me but I did Starr catching them on the fluke, with some pretty aggressive hits,  picked up a few more on a spinnerbait and the green swimbait.  Biggest at halfway point was 16".  Jacob had a few on swim bait and I think George was fluke and senko for most of his at halfway point

After a lunch beak, started floating again.   And had to thank my wife for the next fish. Had to pull off on a small island to give her a call. Ended it and thought the small area of push water on backside looked good. Threw out the fluke and as I was working it back in, saw a fish following. Killed it, let it drift in current and watches the fish inhale it.  A solid 16 was then landed.  Shortly after that, heard a colorful word  sing across the river as George missed a big one.   I.ended up.with 16 total, with 3 going 16" on the nose. Think George had similar numbers and Jacob about 10.

Then a.couple of Saturday's ago, did a float with my friend Jish.  It started slow for both of us until I got a couple along a shallow, shady bank on the fluke.  I believe Josh got his first on a crankbait.  That shallow, shady pattern was the fun pattern for me mainly the rest of.the day.   The fluke and Berkeley Choppo gave me another 11 or 12 fish all on top.  A few fish came partly out of.the water on the strike because it was shallow.

Josh ended catching 9 or 9 also, mostly on a swimbait.  that is  a recap of my last few floats.

Now.stay tuned for an upcoming post about yesterday's solo outing.  Let"s just say the overcast skies made for some exciting strijea;!!!!!

Great times & we all caught fish

I believe the fish got a bit active when the hot weather left us

We definitely all caught fish that day. Which is ultimately the goal

That cool weather yesterday. Certainly had them fired up
