Quick Shore stop 5/29/25

Decided to try the rising water for an hour with a spinnerbait and a soft plastic worm.  I lost the first spinnerbait on some snagged line that I could not break free,  After trying a couple spots in one area, I moved upstream just a bit to where there are usually isolated rocks on the shore.  After a few casts with a double colorado firetiger pattern spinnerbait, I got bit and landed this healthy smallie,  It was hooked well with the main and trailer hooks.  I got a measurement, but the fish was not very cooperative.

I tried for a while longer and only landed a branch with a bunch of heavy line and a treble hook attached.  At least I got that out of the water and into the trash.  Fished from about 11:15 until 12:20pm.

Nice!  Glad to see you caught something in these not ideal conditions.  I can't stand to see trash that fishermen leave behind....I can't even call them that really.  Glad you were able to clean up a little.  I guess the treble came off a lure?

No, just heavy mono line, some sort of makeshift blue teaser and a size 4 quad treble.  I saw some braided line caught up near the shore also, but forgot my pliers and scissors.
