Pacemaker Fishing Forum

Went out since I had some time, but I honestly should have stayed home and saved that fishing chip!  I knew the water was cloudy since I was at colonial beach on Saturday to eat lunch and the waters down there were really cloudy.

got out by 7:30 and it felt like is was going to be a nice day with the temperatures, but the water was muddy and the tide was high.  I went to a favorite cove of mine and started tossing and on the first retrieve on a swim bait I had a good hit.  My 4th cast resulted in a nice 1 lbs bass.  My next 4 hours was nothing. 

I thought I was tracking snakehead along the grass, but later realized it was gar.  And with the carp spawning it was difficult to not get spooked by the 15 lbs carps jumping out of the water every 5 minutes!  But, I stuck it out and gave it my best shot using swim baits, frogs, crankbaits, etc..

I was deflated, but not beaten, so I'll be out again when the water clears!  I did take one pic of the waters just to show that it was a challenge.
