4/7/2025 Shore fish

I was getting cabin fever and jonesing to fish, so when the rain let up, I decided to try from the bank for an hour or so.  I brought 2 rods.  One with a Chatterbait Mini Max and one with a little underspin.

I tried one spot for a bit and decided to move down the bank some.  I was working the chatterbait with little hops and drags and felt a hit.  I set the hook and felt a decent fish which put up a nice fight.

I tried both lures and worked a bit of the shoreline before I had to go.  At least I scratched the itch.

Nice!  The rain let up down south here around 11 am, so I don't know if it did for you up there in the Sterling/Loudon region.  But it's also pretty nice when everyone else is fair weather and you're the only one out and you actually catch a nice fish.

Exactly.  I see that Mother Nature is in full Spring mode and I don't want to miss the best fishing due to some crappy looking weather.  The wind and rain will keep me away though.  Next week looks promising, but I have work scheduled for the house that was put off this week.
