Was hoping for a bump in level after the rain, but it was about 1.2 feet at POR when I launched at 6:30am. 



Was hoping to get a bigger fish on topwater early, but no bites on chug bug or little popper.  Finally got a bite on the Z-man hula stickz.  Terrible picture, but fish was almost half black. 



Finally ran upriver with a couple bumps on the way but no damage.  Much more action upriver, with most taken on the popper.  Quite a few dinks.  Lost a big fish that came off after a good fight.  Not huge.  Maybe 18-19".  Fish were munchin' the popper.

Put up a great fight!  I caught 3 fish and missed 2 others in that one spot.

Another popper fish.  I had thrown the lure and turned to do something and heard a fish just explode.  I was lucky to get it with all the slack in my line.





I caught maybe one more fish.  Ended up with 15.  Lost a few.  Will be changing some hooks.  Great day.  Off the water by 1:30pm
