Well, the water is way too low to float so CT asked if we wanted to try something else. But of course!! 
And it was not going to be a hot as they predicted (never reached 95dF). Yes, it got hot after lunch but we survived.
So we put in above the Luray dam and motored up to the mill dam, about 3 miles.
Capt. Ernie on the motor...
CT back on the oars...
The target species did not cooperate much...
...but Mark was throwing a small popper as was hammering the long ear BG's . He caught close to 100 of them. He had a blast!!
I caught a few as well!
However, I was able to nail a nice LMB. He went 19"!
I caught 1-2 more smaller ones as well as a couple 12-13" smallies. No clue where the pics are...or even if I took any.
Great scenery!
Anyway, it was a great day exploring new to me water.
Time to go fishin' again!

Love the pic of Captain Ernie! Looks like a fun day. My wife's record on the Shenandoah is 86 sunfish. Nice LM Ernie.

Ernie looks good back there! Those are some really great pics of that area. Really pretty body of water. I can say that in this case and not get in trouble! lol
