I got up super early and was planning to be on the water at first light. I ended up getting on a little later due to some glitches. On the water by about 5:30am.
Headed to topwater spot. They were there, but spread out. Busting just out of casting range or behind me. I managed a little one on the plopper and one on a balsa wakebait.

I moved a got a couple on the flatworm.

A boat came upriver that looked just like Ernie's. I saw them later and it was not, but same boat.
I decided to go upriver to look for better action. Spot #3 was good for about 4 fish on the Flatworm and the TRD.

Then the wind kicked up. I was not sure about what to do, so I moved to get out of it for comfort. Caught a couple on the TRD in between rocks.
and Mr. Whiskers on the flatworm.
Then I drifted into the windy area and decided to try the Storm sub wart (1 minus) and this happened.

That bite was the hot bite whenever the wind picked up and they were just slamming it! At one point I had a good one on and another smallie was trying to steal it.
Caught some more on the TRD and flatfish until a catfish broke off the flatfish and something maybe toothy clean cut my TRD after a strong couple head shakes.
I saw a Blue Herron on the shore and some crazy surface commotion going on in front of it. At first, I thought it was a bunch of cormorants, but then I thought it might be carp and trolled over to see. It turned out to be this stressed out mama and crew.
I really overdid it, but had a blast, ending up with 20 smallies, 1 catfish and several hooked and lost or broke off fish. Off the water by 2:30pm and in recovery mode.

Your late start is my way early start! What a day for you. I have that storm lure and will have to give it a try. Most of the waters I hit are grassy, but there are a few open I can use it on. Hopefully you didn't overdo it to extend the recovery period. Great day, great report!

Tens and rest are the best thing for muscle spasms. But I guess catching a bunch takes the mind away from it all. Good job.

Tens worked good. Still getting used to best ways to use it. Works great for the lower back pain and tight muscles. Feeling pretty good today.

That is my #1 producing wakebait. They are out of production. Great when the grass is not grown all the way up or the water is low. It is more like a one-knocker than the Mann's lures.
Ice, Iburofen, Tens, heat and Salon Pas got me through. Felt good enough today to rinse the boat and sweep the garage. Now I feel it again, but not as bad. Massager helps too.
