I'm looking for a new spincasting rod, and don't want buy one that will break on me again. Does anyone have a rod-reel combination that they would reccomend? Any suggestions would be very helpful!!

St. Croix Triumph rod, Okuma Epixor 20 reel (not sure if they still carry this one). The Shimanos are nice too. Spend more on the rod!!

the rod Ernie recommends is great its not very expensive but its pretty decent have had two, one i lost the second i have had for 2 years now almost and no problems still looks brand new. i paired it with a shimano stradic reel and is extremely smooth!

Wait, do you really mean "spincasting" or do you mean "spinning?"

Also, what is your price range?

I meant a spinning rod. My price range is between $70-$150.

Ok, just thought I'd check. I am a fan of Kistlers so I would recommend the Kistler Magnesium. You might want to check out the e21 carrot stick and the Shimano Crucial. Those are all around $150 and can usually be found for less.

I think I've narrowed down my selection between a kvd spinning rod and the e21 rod. Which one would you guys pick?
