Took the "toon" out for a few hours in the afternoon.

Tried trolling a couple of small umbrella rigs from Roosevelt Bridge up to around Windy Run. It didn't work out as there was just enough leaves in the water that the lines kept picking up leaves which slid down the lines to foul the umbrella rigs. It wasn't as bad as trying to troll that area in late November, but it was still bad enough.

Then tried jigging sabiki's at Fletcher's for about 30 min with no hits.

There were lots of people out there fishing but not much catching was going on. Everyone that I asked had caught nothing, but one guy said that he had seen another boat catch a striper (I failed to inquire about size). Then I saw one boat catch a fish and I went over close enough to holler out an inquiry as to what it was, the reply was "shad".

Thanks Bob....another set of eyes helps. We are close, I just wish I could be out there every day...only if there was a ramp up there too!
