4-9-20, Cedar

Well...someone has to pick up the slack now that Curly's not fishing the Av lakes.

I took up his challenge and went out to my pad...

The wind was howling over my left shoulder so I was able to make some monster casts.

About 6-7 casts in, I got nailed!

He took a Bumble Bee spinner bait that I've have for at least 3 decades. Also, the reel is spooled with fluorocarbon (14 or 17lb). I usually fish w/ braid.

Tried a jig but no way to detect the bait.

Stogie of choice was a Crux Passport...smooth!

I still don't "work" the lakes like Curly does. I just stand on the pad, smoke the stogie and make some casts. Once in a while, a fishie decides to play! big_smile

Nice! I would have really thought your fishing pad was a metaphor or something...until you posted a picture of it, lol!
