8/1 White Perch

Ernie asked how my numbers were Wednesday. I fished the outgoing tide from 6:00 AM till noon. Stopped counting perch after 50, but ended with 17 channel cats up to 37" and many juvenile (6") stripers. It was the opening day of the annual two month long SRRKC white perch open. For a small entry fee you can win one of two small cash prizes and bragging rights for a year. Ernie and I have done well over the years and yesterday I entered my first fish of the year.

So far I have these three on the board:

Someone already entered a 11.75, but we're tied for the 3 fish total.
