The water was tall and clean, with just enough tinge to shade the bottom after about 2'.
I threw a kvd square lip, bluegill pattern.
We found barely ample wind, corrugating special sections of exposed water.
I fished hard. Fast, fast- dare them to resist.
Might throw 30 or 30 times, almost mowing the water, but with a mish mash of angles.
Those vibes must call them in, and apply steady current to interest.
The bites come slowly, but they do come.
Some out yonder, then bank side ambush; always be ready in a pond-boy they love to swat it just as you lift it out of the water

I worked here and there. Steadily the tally accrued. Mostly 12 to 14".
Some impacts were sudden, others ticks as the plug was taken in a pause.
I heard turkeys. I was catching enough fish not to bother looking for awhile

There were the three males in the turkey bunch. I wrote this before but then it runs past the submit button and you can't post it. The second time I have to say it it gets boring.

Yes three males- Alpha turkey with rotund with beard dragging the ground -they all carry it on like they were at the prom and were completely oblivious to my observation. Maybe 8 hens
