Today was unplanned. I woke up around 9:15am and saw it was cloudy with no rain until late afternoon. I looked at the water level and decided to go for it. I got on the water a little after 10:30am. The shores were muddy, but the middle river was clear. After trying to see if the island shore was worth fishing (it was muddy), I decided to run upriver. There were a few boats, but nothing crazy. I saw the water was low and clear, so I started with a Whopper Plopper. After some experimentation, I found they did not want the 75, but did want the 90 size with the more subtle plop. I caught 4 on the Ploppers and caught about 7 on a Rebel Humpy and a couple on a jig and small plastic. Biggest was 16 inches and most were 11-14 inches.
Fished until about 2:30pm and decided I had enough. Total was 13 smallies. Nice surprise day.

And now....more rain!
Good job catching 'em on top!

I had a few more blow ups and one fish that got off at the boat on the ploppers. I had posted one picture twice and just fixed it. Once the sun came out more, the bite really slowed.
