NHBA member, Michael Finger, was discovered deceased yesterday.

The cause of death unknown at this time.

From Charlie Taylor: "The DC Harbor Police found his boat resting against the bridge pilings under the GW Parkway, going into Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary.  It was running.  It is assumed that he launched the boat and in attempting to get down into the boat from the high dock, he fell into the water and could not recover.  The fact that the Harbor Police are using grappling hooks would lead one to believe that he was not wearing a PFD.  A construction worker saw the body of a man floating face down in the water in the channel in front of the Gravelly Point Dock.

Since the tide was incoming, it moved the boat into the channel and against the bridge pilings.  It would also seem to be reasonable that a body would also be swept with the tide.  This would indicate that the body would be located in Roaches Run where the police boats cannot go."

His body was recovered late yesterday.

Local news have yet to report anything....
