ICAST 2018 new products

Well this is the year of the outrageous priced products to be pushed out by the reel companies. For instance Diawa has a new reel called the EXIST that starts at 795.00 to 995.00 It comes with a lifetime warranty and yearly free cleaning. It says it is a salt water reel good to one foot of submersion.

It is a Van Stall or ZeeBaaS type reel. It only comes in smaller sizes so surf fishing is out. Lots more stuff will be revealed the next couple days like kayak specific rods
Shimmano Gulf rods look kinda cool
The new penn VI 2500 is a totally water proof real for kayakers too.
A new cell app for offshore that connects a group of fisherman together via sat connection. This is a piggy back technology that allows the group to even send emails when no coverage is around. Pretty cool.
Columbia has a new line of shirts that have gloves and buffs built in with a higher SPF than before.

Re: ICAST 2018 new products

I'll be picking up a couple Whopper Plopper 75s for my 8 year old.

Right now he's throwing smaller lures, like Mepps and Ned Rigs, but if he can get a fish on the topwater I'm pretty sure he'll go fishing with me more!

Have caught many fish on the crazy crawler.

The Lunkerhunt LP Prop series are very interesting too.
