Grass Carp

There was an article in today's Washington Post about a 30-40lb carp caught in the pavilion lake.
I have seen some big ones in beech and cedar before. He caught on a oatmeal dough ball and a secret sauce from Vietnam containing vanilla.
It was an interesting article, sounds like it was a big battle.

Re: Grass Carp

The picture was originally in the Easterner but without a story.

Re: Grass Carp

They can have them but they won't catch it unless they use a big net!

Re: Grass Carp

The sad part of the story is that the carp was found dead a day or two later . . . the speculation is that the fisherman may have put it into shock with all the picture taking . . . I think they play an important role for the ecosystem.
