Hi guys I hope everyone had a great holidays and New Year. I did not get out to fish too much last fall/winter and only a couple of times in Jan, but I have been trying to get out more this month.

Sorry for the late post, I actually caught this LMB on February 6th just before dusk on a chatterbait with like a 3" paddle tail trailer, interestingly enough it was a white & chartreuse lure and chartreuse trailer (I guess the water was clear enough). I was very careful with the gills during weighing (clean release); I need to order a gripper to use with the hook scale.

Since then I have caught a few more bass and crappie, nothing huge though. Mostly on jerkbaits, chatterbait, rattletraps, lipless cranks and 2-5' cranks. Not sure why I have not been fishing a jig though, will definitely start throwing one.
