Wanted- your unused, unsightly and forgotten tackle!

If you have anything (rods, reels, baits etc) in decent working order that you no longer want or need, please let me know. If hooks are missing on baits, I have hundreds of treble hooks that I can put on 'em! If a tip or guide is missing, we have folks that can repair. Same with reels.

When you donate the goods to the Wounded Heroes fishing program, you get a tax receipt for the fair amount.

Thanks!

Ernie,

I'll shoot you a text. I have two or three rods in good condition that I can donate, and some lures and tackle as well.

Winter is a good time to clean out stuff. If it's usable, I can rebag, cleanup and rehook for HS Club and Wounded Heroes program.

Hey Ernie, I have some unused tackle (mostly plastics) that I would like to donate. I also have some reels that could go, they aren't new but are still in working order. What would be the best way to get this stuff to you?

Bryan, many thanks! I know where Bealton is and can come your way. Where do you work?

Maybe we can meet at Smokin' Billy's road side BBQ (20 minutes from Bealton). They have great brisket!

Always wondered about that place, I've passed it a million times but never stopped. I work in the Midland/Catlett area, about 15-20 minutes from there.

I'd hate for you to have to come all the way out here just for that though. Will you be going to the Hillendale Fire Department flea market in a couple weeks?

I will be at the Hillendale show but wanted the stuff for the show as we have stuff for sale to raise funds for the Wounded Heroes program. The BBQ is that good that I would not mind meeting you there for lunch.

Ah ok. I could definitely meet there, but I probably couldn't do lunch on a weekday. I really shouldn't leave the office for more than 30-40 minutes during work hours, so evening or weekends would be better for me. I'll be in the Bahamas from Saturday-Wednesday though...

Getting there in the evening after work is tough because of traffic...any chance for a quick rendezvous (closer to you) tomorrow around 2PM? Want me to bring you a pork or brisket sammie!

Sorry Ernie, I can't make 2pm today. We may have to shoot for some time next week.

I dug up some more stuff last night, including a few rods.

Most likely, Monday would be better as I am headed down to Scottsville around noon time (BBQ joint not open on Monday).

Pick a place that is convenient for you...I don't mind diverging a few miles. Probably around 11-11:30a.

Sure thing Ernie. Trust me, you did me a favor.

I will see you at the flea market this weekend. I hear the good stuff goes fast, so I'll be there early!
