So....is it safe to eat these 2 or 3 times a day? I've been doing that for 4 straight days!

Ernie, You can eat them as much as you want.  your body will tell you when youve had too much, haha.  have you tried those flakes yet?  some people dont like those ones, but others love them.  it seems to either remind people of tobacco or raisins.  Im glad you like the peppers.  theres a million things you can do with them.

Re: Matt Adams' (pier man0909) peppers.....

I broke out the smoker a couple days ago.  Did my first batch of smoked peppers for the year, about 3.5 lbs. of smoked bhut jolokia (ghost).  my dehydrator will now run nonstop until probably november.

Re: Matt Adams' (pier man0909) peppers.....

Nice

Just plucked three peppers of a plant, diced them up, then sautéed them with a home grown yellow pepper, 1/2 white onion, couple cloves of chopped garlic, diced up ham, eggs, and cheese.  Then filled a tortilla for a breakfast burrito - Yum

Heat was medium (some would say HOT) - have no idea what kind of peppers, long, red, & skinny - wife bought me the plant for father's day and been harvesting the past month.

I get a batch of trinidad scorpion's every year from a mennonite guy up in Poconos.  His reapers kick butt, his ghosts are angry, and his trinidad's have a nice heat & flavor that keeps on keeping on

Re: Matt Adams' (pier man0909) peppers.....

nice.  first batch of ghosts are dired.  now I have 4.5 lbs. of pecan smoked reapers on the dryer.  they will make excellent powder.  I have another 3 lbs. of ghosts to process once there is room on the dehydrator.  by far this year I will process more ghosts and reapers than anything just because of the demand but I have a lot of different varaieties to work with.  I even have a few of my own hybrids im working on.  your long red one may be some type of cayanne.  I can hardly find the time to do it all.  between my regular job, pepper business, and trying to fish, I need 36 hour days.

Re: Matt Adams' (pier man0909) peppers.....

Thanks ernie for the positive feedback.  The Aleppo, Urfa Biber, and Maras Biber flakes are worth their weight in gold to me  I love them.  I finally got a decent amount of good jalapenos so I think my next project is some homemade chipotle powder.  I cant wait until thats ready.  Thats really good stuff too as long as it turns out right.

I have a couple people on youtube who I send peppers too for reviews.  they can be quite entertaining and usually give really good reviews on how the peppers taste, burn, etc.

Holy esophagus! Not sure they are meant to be eaten (or spread) that way....

I love what Matt does with his peppers. I have 3 different baggies of flakes and they are excellent and will not burn you to death. Pure taste enhancement.

Ever since I started dabbling with these, I have become a huge fan!

At $5 a bag, you get a ton of flavor!

Great X-Mas stocking stuffers!!
