Re: In Memory of Carl Johnson, 12/3/1941-7/21/2010

Remembering Carl a day early....I miss him!

Mo and I are meeting tomorrow (the 21st) at 0430 (just what Carl used to do) to fish the Wicomico River in his honor/memory....that is where I cut my teeth on the white perch.

I can't believe it's already been five years. I often find myself thinking about or sharing stories about Carl. While I am sad because I can't make anymore 4am trips to Solomons island with him, I am happy because I will never forget those trips that I was fortunate enough to take with him.

Happy Birthday, old friend!

Maybe the white perch followed him to heaven this year. They miss him as much as we do.

Been a while since we have visited but Carl's wisdom helped me put Quinn and John on fish today in our favorite fishing hole, the Wicomico River. Knowing everything else was blown out, we chose to make the long drive and it paid off. Carl would have been proud!

10 years...

It can't be but it is.

Once again, on Wednesday, I'll be down at the Wicomico with John and Quinn. Carl's name will come up often as I name the places he named. The grass point, bikini beach....

Carl was a good man. And he loved to fish like no one I know. He is missed but lives on.

Catch a few big ones for Carl.  He'll like that

As long as you keep his memory alive, he'll live on

Since moving to Pittsburgh I haven't been on this forum very frequently but I certainly think about Carl and our time together often. I miss you, friend

Carl cemented white perch fishing for me. He gets talked about on most trips. His legacy continues...
