beaverdam

fished on the north side of church this morning... only got one bite but it was a giant and it came with utter heartbreak.  i was fishing in my waders and after i fought the fish all the way up to me the hook came out right as i went to lip the fish.  It sat there for a second and i reached in jacket sleeves and all and tried to grab it... touched its sides and it took off between my legs.  I was that close to landing a 5-6lb fish.  again shallow...  3-5ft on the outside edge of the grass growing on hard bottom with scattered boulders.  wacky senko.  i'll be back there for sure before i leave

Re: beaverdam

Let me know if you want to join me out there... love sharing my secrets there with others as it can be a very difficult lake to pattern with all the different structure.

interesting to hear that... there was a cop car in the lot this morning and he saw me with my gear and i'd imagine if it was closed that he would have notified me.  i'd be pretty bummed if they closed it to public access... those crew boats seem to run that place now and i wouldn't be surprised to hear that they had something to do with it.  that or all the fancy homes being built around it... rich politics getting in the way of

I sent you an email but maybe you didn't get it. Would love to join you sometime, but perhaps that is a moot point now.

Contact Mark Peterson at mpeterson@loudounwater.org and let him know that you don't want this resource closed to everyone but the rowers.
