I got thumped......good one. Four pound line drama time....just keep tension and please dont break. It was a beautiful fish, a solid three pounds, but hooked deeply.
I got lucky and freed the trebles.
I was amazed. In this water, on this day, I catch this fish, in this way.
I turn it loose, retied, and caught another one just like it on the next cast.
We played slow and steady all the way in, then just as I began to bend down, it shook off.
I always say I would rather lose one than hook it badly and kill it.
