Striped Bass and Christening of a Kayak in Pohick Bay (Nov 2, 2011)

I bought a 2011 Hobie Revolution 13.  Well I couldn’t wait until the weekend to test the new kayak. So next day after work, I went to Pohick Bay to fish for striper. I caught one striper few days ago unexpectedly.  So I believed that striper would be there at the same place.  I hooked 3 stripers but landed only one.  Tomorrow will be also windy at 20mph+.  I guess Pohick Bay is the logical choice since the place is protected from strong wind.

Another nice video, thanks for sharing.

Looks like the new yak is a keeper.

Joe,

You are inspiring me to give it a go.  I have a new semi-drytop I need to get fish slime on.

Hopefully I will see you at Pohick and pick up some pointers.
