DC Stripers 10-8-11 + pics

A good friend of mine living in Salt Lake City was in town for a meeting this week.  We planned a fishing trip for today on the river.  After catching 18 stripers yesterday with Thai, my wife told me last night that we had caught them all and there would be few for us today.  Jim is an avid fisherman and was looking forward to this trip.  We set out at 6:30 this morning to prove my wife wrong.  We trolled and strained a lot of water.  Ended up with 7 stripers and 3-4 blue cats.  Here is Jim with big striper of the day (19").

And me with the smallest of the day (didn't know it was on the line until I reeled it in to end the day).

All fish were returned to be caught again.  Not as many stripers today, but a beautiful morning on the water.

Oh yeah, we decided that my wife was wrong, and the fish decided to take the holiday weekend off tongue .
