Beaverdam 9/12

Fished Beaverdam yesterday from about 4-7:45pm.   The reservoir was full and the clarity was as usual but maybe a little browner.   Right away I caught a small LMB on a blue/chartreuse pattern crankbait.  Caught one perch with it too.  Eventually I happened on a good school of white perch hanging out in some deep water.  I was picking them off nearly every cast of my spoon.  They were all 7-7.5" though.   I was hoping some big largemouths would be in the area too.

Tried some other areas with no luck before trying a known perch hang out to see if there were any around.  No WP, but I did snag a wire leader attached to a short curly tail worm that was caught in the throat of a small smallie.  I unsnapped the clip on the leader and sent the smallie on it's way with just the hook and worm.

Finished the day with a small bluegill, some more perch and a small channel cat.
