Pre-Hurricane Fishing

Got out around 9am to see if there was a good bite before the wind/rain.  Fished A, B, C, T, and P.  Only 7 small bass in 2 1/2 hrs on a wacky worm.  Wind picked up at 11:20 and the rain started 10 min later.  Got back to the truck just in time........before the heavier rain started big_smile

Maybe they will turn on after the storm passes? smile

Re: Pre-Hurricane Fishing

Since I was home because of the hurricane hitting my school I went to ashburn lake and only had one blowup, but it was a big explosion.  He missed my bait.  My boss caught one fish on a school bus spinner bait.

Heavier rain? Pfft....I just got back in (1 PM) and it's a light drizzle. I love this weather....feels like I am in the tropics again.    cool

I was fishing slow and had three bites and one landed. I was fishing fast at 1st and then used a 10" senko type bait on an 8/0 hook and got this nice chunk!big_smile

Re: Pre-Hurricane Fishing

We are getting very little rain...it is steady but just the outer bands. Maybe we will get more overnight.

We just went to dinner to a place that normally has a 30-45 minute wait...walked right in! I guess the news channels have scared people off....this county is not under any watch or warning!

Stay dry!

Re: Pre-Hurricane Fishing

Tyler and I hit A Lake about 11:30 am for about an hour.  We stayed down by the dam along that shoreline.  I caught a nice little crappie on a Beetlespin and had a few nibbles.  That was about it.  Pic is on my iPhone.  Will upload later.
