Re: Large Mouth Bass

Does Curly have gills?

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!

Truth be known, Curly fishes the lakes over 150 days each year. He works them methodically....others like me just get lucky!

Re: Large Mouth Bass

caught a 4lb. 3oz at alder 2 years ago during the fall... weighed on a digi scale... does this count?  smile

he has a big depression in one side of his head... a very distinct feature should anyone else catch him

Re: Large Mouth Bass

for the record... that 5lbr. that Curly caught at the pavillion is now much much bigger and that would in my opinion put the biggest ashburn lmb in the pavillion lake...  i hooked and almost landed a 6-7lbr. there last summer although i will admit i hooked it off the end of the marina against regs( won't happen again).  I hear there are some rock islands... those big bass must love being close to deep water and a proper feeding spot without the constant jogger assault

Re: Large Mouth Bass

Nice fish!! I didn't know they had bass that big in Alder.

Ernie and Curly did mention that the shock testing that VDGIF did in Alder floated up a five pounder a couple of years ago.

Re: Large Mouth Bass

Curly is so confident in his fishing skills and lifespan that he will hold the Cedar record for LMB in 2207. What's your secret?!
