Potomac River (DC) report, 2/13

Put in at Gravely at 1:30 PM.....boat started right up after a 60 some day layoff and ran great! SSW winds of 15ish caused a bit of the chop around the airport but that was a good thing.

Water was clean and temps were 38-39.

Marked some fish in the channel, just off the hump. Only brought 1 rod but never threw it....

Did see 3-4 other bass/jon boats, not sure if they were catching. The weird thing was that two of the bass boats had blacked out motor covers. Going stealth? Never saw that before.

Great to be out for a bit....

Time to go fishin' again!

Blacked out motor covers usually mean they modified the motor above the approved HP levels, but would require an investigation of parts to cite. Shady at best.

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
