leesburg stormwater

well i found a new one

dont u love it when that happens?

i caught plenty of fish: LMB. crappie.bluegill
suprise: yellow perch

the bass were pretty much 12". caught about a dozen
crappie were just as long, and a bit heavier, but not what i would call slabs

the YP was about 6"

that tickled me more than anything

when i switched to UL tackle, and 1/8 grubs, the fun was on...

Re: leesburg stormwater

i was surprised anything was in there.

there was almost no evidence that anybody else ever fishes there. i saw one bobber along the bank, otherwise zero fishing trash.

i had to work @ finding the pattern.

i stayed more because i was too lazy to leave.

the big wind helped my confidence

i was lobbing a 1/2 ounce spinnerbait just canvassing the water.

finally i determined to pay the price, bust some brush, and hit the most promising area

the fish were right where they were supposed to be

i started hitting shortie bass, then i was winching another one in when i realized it  was a crappie.

i determined to switch tactics, lighten up, go all the way back to the windblown point, and  found urban angling heaven
